John Aniston was born in Chania, Crete on July 24, 1933. He came to the United States with his family when he was two years old. Settling in Chester, Pennsylvania, the family (like many Greek immigrant families) ran a restaurant. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Theater Arts. After serving as an intelligence officer in the US Navy, Mr. Aniston began an acting career. A Days of Our Lives soap opera regular since 1969, Mr. Aniston has brought arch villain Victor Kirakis to life for generations of viewers. For his stellar work portraying Victor, he was nominated for an Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in 2017. Mr. Aniston is also the father of Friends star Jennifer Aniston.

John Aniston is a 2017 National Hellenic Society Excellence Award winner.
